Our Charitable Giving Program

UPDATE APRIL 9, 2020: In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Driscoll’s will deploy more than $4 Million in charitable funds across health clinics, food banks, fresh berry donations and other community resources. Learn more about how the funds are being distributed to address critical community needs across the communities who are working tirelessly to bring fresh, healthy berries to families.

Driscoll’s Giving program ensures we strategically invest in the communities where we grow, engage employees in our vision of enriching lives, and establish a relationship with the towns and cities that we call home.

Partnering to grow our communities

Driscoll’s, in partnership with independent growers and local experts, identify the needs of their community. After Driscoll’s and non-profit leaders in the area agree on solutions that make progress on the identified needs, the non-profit is invited to submit a grant proposal. A charitable giving committee, comprised of a diverse set of representatives from across the company, reviews and approves strategic grants to fund our non-profit partners. After an agreed upon period of time, the project becomes self-sustaining. This ensures the longevity of impact and constant re-evaluation of the needs of the community over time.

The impact of our grants include:

Since 2016 we gave over $1,293,000 in grants and supported over 400 organizations.

Driscoll’s now awards its grants on an invitation only basis. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept unsolicited proposals.

Employee Giving

Coming together to connect with our neighbors and share our passion

Driscoll’s employees around the world mobilize every day around causes that inspire them. Any group of three or more employees can form a volunteer team to benefit a non-profit. Driscoll’s then supports the employee teams by matching their donations of money and time.

In 2018, Driscoll’s employees volunteered a total of 15,130 hours and Driscoll’s matched over 300 employee donations.

Charitable Giving Sponsorship with kids

Show up where we live, work, and grow

Driscoll’s sponsors activities and events that help raise funds for non-profits doing critical work in our communities. This allows us to build relationships with our neighbors and further understand the impact we have on the places where we work and grow.

Driscoll’s sponsorship recipients are selected by our local leaders, so we are unable to review unsolicited sponsorship requests.
